We started the day tidying up after yesterday’s “Bonodori” festival — but not before getting the rare thrill of riding on the roof of a fire truck. Back home, we filmed a quick tutorial on the traditional dance we had performed the night before. When one of our closest mentors had to leave for Kagoshima, we ran down to the harbour to wave him goodbye.

The afternoon was all about swimming, swimming, swimming — the sunshine finally clear enough to reveal every detail clear underwater. It was magical ✨. Our mentor even caught fresh fish for dinner.

By 5 p.m., we were showered and prepping for our BBQ feast: we had onigiri, pasta, sōmen, fried fish, and on the grill, juicy marinated meat and fish – so tasty!!

To finish off the exciting day, we took a spontaneous trip to Onbo Misaki — a cliffside place with a panoramic view where the night sky feels close enough to touch. On the last photo, you can see two of the children with us reaching for the stars🌌.

昨日の盆踊りの後片付けから一日が始まりました。でもその前に、消防車の屋根に乗るという滅多にないスリルを味わいました。家に帰ってから、前夜に披露した伝統舞踊の簡単なチュートリアルを撮影しました。親しいメンターの一人が鹿児島へ出発することになり、港まで駆けつけて手を振ってお見送りしました。

午後はひたすら泳ぎ続けました。ようやく晴れ渡った太陽の光で、水中の様子が隅々まではっきりと見えました。まるで魔法のようでした✨。メンターは夕食用に新鮮な魚まで釣ってくれました。

午後5時にシャワーを浴びて、バーベキューの準備を始めました。おにぎり、パスタ、そうめん、魚のフライ、そしてグリルで焼いたジューシーなマリネ肉と魚。最高に美味しかったです！

刺激的な一日の締めくくりに、思い立って恩寵岬へ行きました。崖の上にあるこの場所では、夜空が触れられそうなほど近くに感じられるパノラマビューを楽しめます。最後の写真では、私たちと一緒に星を目指して手を伸ばしている子供たちが2人見えます🌌。
