I will write today’s report the same as other members.

　Today, in the morning, we went to a warehouse near the harbor in order to crush many empty cans of paints. These cans of paints were used for painting the walls in the harbor few months ago. There were too many cans,but we could crush all the cans by helping each other.

After eating lunch, we cut the passion fruits vines to replant them to Morinaga. It was a hard work for us, but we could get a big sense of accomplishment after completing the task!

At dinner, we ate baked flying fish (Tobiuo in Japanese) which we got at the proceeded Marin products factory. It was very very delicious! We knew that there were too many flying fish and Sawara in Takarajima. I would like you to eat them once!

拙い英語ではありますが、少しでも多くの方にこの島の魅力が伝われば嬉しいです。

　

　最後に、私が今日心に残った出来事を日本語で書きます。作業を終えて部屋に戻ると、世話人の方の娘さんが三線を持って遊びにきてくれました。彼女は私たちにBIGINの「島んちゅぬ宝」を演奏して聴かせてくれました。

　”教科書に書いてあることだけじゃ分からない　大切なものがきっとここにあるはずさ　それが島んちゅぬ宝”

　それを聞いて、みんなで歌ったとき、生まれてからこの宝島に生きる島んちゅの”宝物”が何なのか、少し垣間見ることが出来たような気がして、私たちの心にこみ上げるものがありました。この島で、この仲間と、このご家族のもとで日々を送らせていただいているこの奇跡に感謝して、残り半分となったこの旅も、今自分に何ができるのか、何をしたいのか、を大切にして過ごしたいと思います。
